Eldbrooke United Methodist Church is a historic church in Washington, D.C. It is located at 4100 River Road, Northwest, Washington, D.C., in the Tenleytown neighborhood. ==History== The first church on this site, was called Mount Zion Methodist, established in 1840, and was rebuilt after the Civil War. A larger church was built there in 1899, and the name was changed to Eldbrooke, after Aquila Eld and Philip Brooke.
